The Battle Scarred Spartan sword is a beautiful design. Not necessarily a historically accurate design, but gorgeous nonetheless. It follows in the tradition of Spartan-style swords from Frank Miller's "300" Graphic novel series, and the 2006 movie made from that series. The sleek styling makes this blade look lethal and swift. The guards are nothing more than an iron bracket protecting your knuckles -- suitably Spartan.
The sharpened steel blade is 26 inches long and has been antiqued (read:beat up) to mimic a sword that's taken some punishment (like it might look if you held off five-hundred thousand Persian warriors with just 299 of your fellow Spartans?). The overall length for the sword is 34 1/4 inches. Leather has been wrapped around the grip and the steel guards have been blackened for stealth and general bad-ass-ness. This is a powerful, heavy sword with plenty of style and beauty.
