In the East, the koi fish is seen as a symbol of courage, strength of will and good fortune. What better symbol would you want on your katana? Okay, maybe a *magic* koi fish symbol would be better on your katana, but, short of sorcery, we can't think of a better symbol. The koi fishes are masterfully sculpted into the tsuba (guard) of this katana, creating a handsome swirl of textured scales, reeds and vegetation.

The custom engraved Koi Katana is an absolutely gorgeous, functional katana. In fact, its one of the nicest katanas we carry. The 40-inch, 1045 High Carbon Steel has been tempered and honed to a sharp edge for excellent cutting, and serves as an excellent surface for your free engraving. The grip is covered with a soft, white rayskin, and the sheath has been lacquered to a high sheen.
