HOW IT WORKS
You can send us your own coat-of-arms graphic or have us look through our database to find your coat of arms. We then engrave your arms inside a metal shield shape. You can choose a 2D engraving, which is deep, with sides that go straight down (clifflike) or 3D Sculpt, with sloping sides like on a coin (but much deeper).
For 3D Sculpts select the 3D Engraving option. If your coat of arms is particularly complex, we may need to charge an additional $20-$90. We will let you know if this is necessary before we engrave, and you can cancel the order if you don't want to pay the extra fee, or we can discuss ways to eliminate the extra fee.
You can keep your coat of arms un-mounted (paperweight style, with rubberized backing) or we can mount it in a shadowbox for a glamourous and protected style.
Coats-of-Arms are about 6" high. They're made out of a polished aluminum-alloy about .375" thick (roughly the thickness of an iPhone in a chunky case). The metal is antiqued for contrast and coolness. They have a nice heft to them, too (about 1/2 pound).
