He swoops down from the trees, sword in hand, to take from the rich and give to the poor. No, we're not talking about Bernie Sanders, we're talking, of course, about Robin Hood-- a legendary man who may or may not have existed a thousand years ago. There are various versions of this outlaw knight, but all of them seem to agree on one thing: Robin hood (aka, Robin of Locksley) had class, bravery, and mad fighting skills. The Sword of Robin Hood embodies all three of those qualities. Well, except for mad fighting skills because... you know... a sword can't actually... um... let's talk about the design!

The Sword of Robin Hood is made small and light --35 inches long, overall. The relatively small size and light weight makes it exceedingly fun to hold and swing--in darker days this sword would have been a fast and lethal weapon. The unsharpened blade is made from a high-shine stainless steel, with plenty of room for your personalized text.

The hilt is made from cast metal, and fervently engraved with scenes of hunting, swords, and a couple of roaming unicorns. The perforated wheel-pommel is set with a costume saphire and etched with the name "Robin of Locksley" on one side and "Earl of Huntington on the other). Why, you may ask? Because Robin of Locksley was his name. And because Anthony Munday wrote a play in the 1500s that featured the folk here Robin Hood as a nobleman, instead of as a commoner as he had been up to that point. Munday made Robin the Earl of Huntington--a gentleman passionately loyal to King Richard I.

The Robin Hood Sword comes with an ornately gilded scabbard and a thousand years of outlaw street cred. About LIGHTSTORMâ„¢ Deep Engraving:
Mantra Immortal uses high-powered lasers to burn away the metal around your text. Yeah, lasers! I know right? We’re talking Han Solo type stuff. Except Han can’t engrave text on a sword blade, can he? Our lasers also create intricate patterns around the text, adding depth, elegance and stimulating contrast. The result? Gorgeous engravings that make any gift look like an heirloom. We don’t know of anyone else customizing their products in this fashion. LIGHTSTORM™ comes with a free frame around your text and a free sigil (if you want).
