The Lakonians, a Greek civilization from which the Spartans descended, were known for their blunt and sparse speech (along with their blunt and brutal swordsmanship). When Philip II of Macedon laid siege to their capital, he asked them to surrender the city. When they refused, he told them that if he got into the city he would kill every man inside, let his soldiers rape their women, and take every child as a slave. The Lakonians' reply?

This sword is a reproduction of the wasp-waisted short swords that Lakonian warriors carried into battle. The 14.5" blade is made from EN45 High-carbon steel. But the most unique feature of the weapon is the polished bronze that guard and pommel are made from. The metal shines with a glittering reddish hue that is both unique and classy.
The sword come with a leather-wrapped, hardwood sheath as well as free text engraving, and optional divder/frame graphics. You can add your own custom graphics, too, if you'd like. See below for more on the unique engraving options available.
